[SOLVED] List of VMs gone

I've been using proxmox for about a month now... quite impressed. I did a graceful shutdown via IPMI yesterday, booted up today, only to find my list of VMs gone. They're still running, as I can ssh into them, but through the UI, nothing. The IP address or anything else about the configuration has not changed. This is also not the first time I've rebooted, so it's not like the problem was waiting to happen upon reboot.

journalctl doesn't yield anything particularly useful, at least to my eye. Anyone have a suggestion here? This is really not the issue I was expecting to have to work on today, but alas, I guess that's how things go sometimes.

Much thanks.

P.S. I just figured this out as I was about to post this question, but thought I'd post it anyway in case anyone else has this problem. The stupid thing I did was log in as a non-root user. Oops!

Solution: Make sure you're logging in as root!
