I could write a bit of background, but I guess it isn't really relevant. I installed PVE 4.0 on a single-socket server, and bought a community license key for it. I then found that that hardware didn't have the grunt that I needed, so I moved the drives to a two-socket box. Everything's running fine on the new hardware, but (unsurprisingly) the subscription key isn't valid any more. I expect I'll need to pay for another socket on the subscription, but how do I replace a single-socket subscription with a two-socket subscription?
License key - 1 socket -> 2

The reason it is not 'valid' anymore is because the license is linked to the specific hardware. Also, as you write, you have transferred it from a 1-socket to a 2-socket system which means you will have to upgrade your license.
