Istallation of Proxmox 6.3 on HPE ProLiant DL160 Gen10

Hello everyone!

I am interested in purchasing HPE ProLiant DL160 Gen10. I've tried to check the manufacturer's website for compatibility issues with Proxmox 6.3, however, I could not find any information about it there.

I wanted to ask if any of you have this hardware and could share information how the compatibility issue looks like? Were there any problems with installing Proxmox on this hardware? Or are there any known problems with this hardware?

Hello

Proxmox VE is based on Debian but is using current Ubuntu kernels to have better support for current hardware and access to new features. This means that if you ask vendors about compatibility, it is more accurate to ask about their Ubuntu support. Currently, Proxmox VE is using version 5.4 of the Linux kernel. This relates to Ubuntu 20.04.

I recommend you to check out their HCL to see if that hardware is listed [0]
