Hello,

I am working on trying to install the latest PVE on my Ryzen 2700x system with an Asus Crosshair Hero Vii board. The issue I am running into is that the on board sata is not recognized. Am am guessing this is an issue with proxmox missing the driver for the chipset. I have also been trying to get a Megaraid 9260-8i Controller to work with no luck. I feel like the card may be bad.

Has anyone managed to get the on board sata to work?

I am also starting to think I am hitting a limit with the Ryzen system. I have 2 installed NVME on the board, 2 in a riser card, a 10g nic, a GT710 and a sata controller. I have been looking at possibly switching to a threadripper, but I don't want to run into the same issues I have now. If anyone has had good luck with an x399 board where you can use the onboard SATA for slower HDD storage for the VMs and that the NVME drives also show for faster storage please let me know.
