M MikeP Active Member Feb 14, 2016 47 4 28 54 Mar 23, 2019 #1 FYI. Trying to install PVE on an older machine. got the error "invalid arch independent ELF magic" It seems that the problem was the CMOS battery was dead, and the clock was way wrong. Changing the clock fixed this problem.
