Hi,

I have an Intel server that comes with ESRT2 and Matrix RAID, so no actual HW controller for raid.

I've created a RAID10 array and I can see this array if I go into the RAID configuration but when I try to install Proxmox I can see only the individual hard disks.

This also applies when trying to install Debian and ESXI 5 but when I try to install in debian I can see the array but it's read-only.

Anyone can suggest a solution ?

Thanks!

Hi,
you write also that it's no real raid-controller. It's an fake raid.

Solutions:
Buy an real hardwareraidcontoller (best solution).
Use single disks (not save, not fast - disable first the bios-raid-function).
Use software-raid (not supported, but some people have good experiences with this also on pve). linux-softwareraid work also on other machines - so if your mainbord die, you can use the data (which can be quite difficult with fake-raids).
