Hello dear Developers!

Is any chance or how can it be enable to use Intel e1000e device.

On last XPenology DS3615XS or DS3617XS Intel e1000 or vmxnet3 not working. And there is a little chance that it will work in future.

I have found Posts that some users changes NIC to e1000e and network is gone back to normal on last firmare of XPenology.

So is any method to enable e1000e or it will enabled in near future?

Hi,

there are no plans to integrate this NIC in the GUI.
You can use this NIC when you use the args: option in your config.

I realize this is the old thread, but many are still facing this issue with XPenology. Adding e1000e as args option cannot work since this option has been completely removed from proxmox. Folks over at xpenology forum have come up with this ingenious solution: https://xpenology.com/forum/topic/7387-tutorial-dsm-6x-on-proxmox/page/9/
Obviously it's not ideal, every proxmox update will wipe these changes clean. Can we at least have this option available via args if not in the GUI?
