Install Windows 2012 R2 Boot failed

Hi,

I can't install Windows 2012 R2 on my proxmox server.
I boot to the cdrom, windows loading files, then I see the windows logo and next the server reboot.

I read some old topics about this issue :

I tried to change cpu default to qemu64, change the ram value, change disk from virtio to ide but still the same issue.
On other proxmox server I installed successfully the same version using the same iso.

I have the latest proxmox version :

root@proxmoxtst01:~# pveversion
pve-manager/3.4-3/2fc72fee (running kernel: 2.6.32-37-pve)

Any idea ?

I tried all cache settings (direct sync, write back, write through) but still the same issue.

Are you absolutely sure your ISO file is OK?
I have seen this many times. Install starts normally, but fails without reason.

And I tried now a fresh install (quad Xeon IBM X3850 X5 + EqualLogic SAN) of a standard 2012R2 with GUI :
- cache = none leads to a stopped VM (I already noticed that before),
- cache = unsafe does not generate any error or problem.

Did not try other cache modes.

But keep in mind : the best way to have zero problem with windows OS is to have zero windows OS -

I downloaded again the ISO and change the cache to unsafe but still the same issue....
