Yes my system is Alix APU, was running with older versions (proxmox 4) while after upgrade appeared problem.

in theory you can stick on an older version, but this is not the right way (security and so on).
What kind of trouble do you found? Normaly it's better so solve the issues (if possible), so that other people has improvements too.
Looks that some people use such small board with pve (I'm too, and I like to use the latest stuff on this "server").
