how to debug failing VM guests and host

Hi,

I've been running Proxmox 5.2 for home use (fileserver and desktop computing with GPU passthrough) and I'm experiencing issues where the guest VMs fails (from a running state it stops and can't communicate with the guest). Other times the host fails (I can't ssh into it or access the web gui) and I have to hard reset the system.

Which log files can I examine to see what happened with my system when I encounter these problems?

I guess you should enable core dump for this kind of problem.
