How do I export a VM in .ova format ?

I need to export a VM in the .ova format, so that I can import it in various other hypervisors... How can I do this ?

Hi,
you must convert the disk in vmdk and then with the vmware tools create the ova file
there is no other way as far I know.

Yes it does. I find that making OVA files with virtual box they are more portable. The ones I make with vmware (Fusion on my Mac) do not work with VirtualBox.​
