Fastest way to make backup of 130 GB VM?

Hello,I need make backup and restore on another server of 130 GB VM.Just backup takes around 10 - 13 hours (without compresion).I need make it in STOP mode, because data goes to new server.Is possible make backup and restore faster?Thank you!

are you talking of two different proxmox nodes?

it could depend a lot on your setup, and vm disk storage.

best option would be live migration, of course. If I got what you mean....

Yes, one node is Proxmox VE 2, second Proxmox VE 3.There is problem, that I have to change IPs.Where can I find howto make live migration?Nodes have to be connected to make live migration?

yes live migration needs shared storage, so "connection" is required.

if you could use external storage for the vm, you could stop the vm on pve 2, then
disconnect external storage from pve 2 and connect the storage to pve 3
if storage & all network, etc setup is identical between pve 2 & 3, move vm config file to pve 3 (same VMID), restart the same vm from the same storage. It could take a few minutes.

I'm not sure but it could work. Try with a smaller test vm before...
