Hi all,
i was testing the upgrade from 7.4 to 8 on one of my lokal nodes. The upgrade itself went fine and I was able to create a new test lxc etc.
But after restarting the node it does not boot up. After connecting a monitor I saw that during the boot process the following error occurs:
failed to start zfs-import@vm\x2ddata.service - Import ZFS pool vm\x2ddata
Before this the message is displayed that sof firmware file is mossing. and therefore failed to load DSP firmware and sof_probe_work failed.
The installation has been done with the installation Medium (USB stick) from Proxmox 2 years ago (Version 6 If I recall correctly) and since then I had no problems upgrading.
Any hints what do do now?
Update: I managed to boot into rescue mode but there is no network connection. I configured the node with static ipv4 but this seems to not work in rescue mode. Restarting networking service get stuck in infinity mode no error etc.
Update#2: I finally managed via live installer to chroot the system. Seems for my Lenovo machine I need to add non-free-firmware to the sources and install than with apt install eof-firmware-signed the package.
Now the error did not came up anymore but the failed to start zfs still exists. When I boot into recovery mode I can import and check the pool and everything seems fine but still during startup the service fails.
Any hints on this?
