Hi !

I have a 3-nodes cluster running with the latest version of proxmox.
Today i tried to install PBS for testing purposes, and i can't add the PBS server to my PVE
I get this error: "create storage failed: error during cfs-locked 'file-storage_cfg' operation: proxmox-backup-client failed: exit code 255 (500)"

pveversion -v:
Code:

I tried to reboot (of course), and add a new user with a password which didn't have special characters (since i seen this: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/c...fg-working-now-but-shows-question-mark.45962/)

My configuration:

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance !

For the datastore you only have to specify the datastore name not the path :) Maybe that helps

Oh ok, it was just this... Thanks a lot !

And, i don't know if it's a normal behavior, but i can use my root account to connect to the pbs, i get this message:
"create storage failed: error during cfs-locked 'file-storage_cfg' operation: proxmox-backup-client failed: Error: HTTP Error 401 Unauthorized: permission check failed. (500) "
But with a other account it works perfectly !

Thanks again !

That UI field is for sure missing a stricter validator to improve user experience a bit here, will update on Monday :)

Yes, that should be possible. Be sure to use root@pam for that one, as it's a system user (PAM) and not a "virtual" Proxmox Backup Server user (which use <username>@pbs)
