Hello,

I have installed proxmox today for the first time and I am encountered a problem.
I need to deploy a .qocw2 image to my proxmox (it's a firewall template).
Unfortunately, when I create a VM, I choose OtherOS as OS then I can't choose qcow2 file to boot on. only iso(CD/DVD TAB).

Am I missing something?
Thank,

you can create vm with no iso and an empty disk (there you can choose the qcow2 format on an file based storage) and then simply replace the qcow2 file with yours

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have followed your advices but raw format is still grayed as you can see in the attached picture n4.

Regards,

Thank you DCSAPAK.
This is not really user friendly to replace the qcow2 manually but it works.
Thx again

Maybe it is just me but importing appliances seems to be something I would do very occasionally. What you are describing would be something that I would convert to a template after import to facilitate turning up fresh instances on demand.
