I use the lastest proxmox version 5.5-2.
My system is based on templates.
After I reinstalled the whole system and created cluster with ceph shared filesystem I found this issue.
I restored VMs from backups.
First issue:
The original system was a template. I created a backup from this template
Disk configuration: sata0: local:800/base-800-disk-1.qcow2,size=100G
After restored it has 2 disks if I use ceph storage:
sata0: vCNTDB-Storage_vm:base-800-disk-1,size=100G
unused0: vCNTDB-Storage_ct:vm-800-disk-1
If I use local storage for restore target there will be only one disk.
Secund issue:
I created linked clone from this restored template. It is working well.
But when I tried create template from this new VM I got error.
"TASK ERROR: error with cfs lock 'storage-vCNTDB-Storage_vm': got lock request timeout"
The system convert the VM to Template but the storage remained VM storage.
sata0: vCNTDB-Storage_vm:base-812-disk-1/vm-128-disk-1,size=100G
template: 1
