Hi all,

The cluster manager wiki page recommends a separate network for clustering as below.

The cluster will have around 10 nodes maximum at this stage, and there will be a dedicated 10Gbit network for shared storage (live migration will use this network as well).

With this setup, I am wondering if 1Gbit for clustering network would be fine. The network will be used for management purposes mainly (e.g. ssh, and Proxmox GUI access). There will be some control traffics (e.g. Ansible management traffic) from time to time.

Would 1Gbit be enough bandwidth for this? Or should I consider upgrading a bandwidth or even a different architecture?

Hi @dietmar,

Thanks for the response. Just wondering what the principle of clustering traffic is. Is it like a broadcast packet spitting on a regular basis? If so, may I ask what the interval is and how big it is? Thanks gain.
