Hello Forum!

I read the documentation and wonder if i need a new name for a node which i reinstalled.

There are 3 Nodes atm: pve01, pve02 and pve03.
When i now shutdown pve03 and remove the node via shell from the reaming other 2 systems and reinstall pve03, can i add the node aggain under the name pve03 or do i have to name it pve04?

Kind regards!

I am trying to do the same thing but when I issue the add command I am stuck at waiting for quorum...

root@pve3:~# pvecm add 192.168.10.157 --force
can't create shared ssh key database '/etc/pve/priv/authorized_keys'
node pve3 already defined
copy corosync auth key
stopping pve-cluster service
backup old database
waiting for quorum...

Just resolved this! I should have mentioned we migrated to a new set of switches, one of which was managed and multicast was disabled!!!!
Thank you to omping command.
