I am currently testing PBS (1.0 release) in my testing environment. Lights went off while backup job was running. When power supply was restored and servers were up again, I tried to delete incomplete backup from the list in storage. So the backup was deleted from the list, but chunks were not deleted. I tried running the garbage collector, but it didn't help. I believe that there must be some mechanism for clearing "garbage" chunks.

Garbage collection deletes unused chunks only after 24 hours, this has to do with modification time limitations of how most file systems are mounted in Linux.
