Ceph Journaling on SAS Drives 10k

Hi all
As im finding it bit difficult getting old ssd models to fit on my old hp server, is it possible to journal on SAS drives 15k or 10k with 3gbps rate?
will this make a better IOPS or just a waste of time?

You will need to test it. But in general, spinners are no match in random access compared to SSDs.
