Hi guys!
I'm new of PROXMOX...
My problem is that I can't get web management page working after the installation of Proxmox VE 3.0 .
I installed it using default settings but when I try to access to the web page the browser don't show me any page.
I tried to use Mozzilla Firefox, Google Chrome and IE.
My Server specs are:
CPU: Phenom II x4 955
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz CAS9 16gb
M/B: Asus Sabertooth 990fx
OS HDD: OCZ Agility 3 120gb
GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 6850 2gb
PSU: OCZ Fatal1ty 550W
I tried 2 different routers:
Linksys WAG160N
Netgear DG 834 v2 with custom firmware
Thank you so much!
Without your help I can't get anything working!
Thanks!!!;)

Hi,
you use https://ip.of.your.pveserver:8006 or only https://ip.of.your.pveserver ??

Can you ping your host? Are you in the same subnet?

Udo

Thanks four your reply, Udo!
I used the first type of URL and i have all my pcs connected to my router.
How can I ping my host?
Thank you so much!

Hi!
I tried to ping the server and all package were lost. I tried the same thing with another computer and the result was the same...
I also tried to ping a windows pc from another windows pc and all worked well...

Thanks for your time!

Hi,
looks that your network-config on the pve-host isn't right.
See in /etc/network/interfaces
Perhaps the network-device, which you are use is not eth0?
See in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
or
Code:
dmesg | grep eth
Udo

I tried to do that but it gives me this error: no such file or directory.
Probably I did some error in the command... Can you please tell me all the right command lines that I must write?
Thanks a lot!

Hi,
can you post an screenshot - it's not easy to see where the typo is - noch such file or directory say not much...

Following command outputs are helpfull:
Code:
cat /etc/network/interfaces
cat /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
dmesg | grep eth
ifconfig -a

Hi!
I made a screen of the monitor and it seems to be on eth0...

Sorry for the flash but it's on a useless part of the monitor...

Sorry, but I am a newbie linux user :p
This is the screen with the right command:
http://postimg.org/image/iw3funi89/
this shows that no packets are transmitted via eth0 - is the cable/switch-port ok?
When i tried to ping from a windows computer to 192.168.0.1 no one answer so all the package were lost.
Thanks!:)
You can't ping your gateway?? There is something wrong in your network! Is the network-config right??

Udo

I pinged my gateway (192.168.1.1) and it received all the packages.
I re-installed PROXMOX and I input these settings:
IP: 192.168.1.119
NETMASK: 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY/DNS: 192.168.1.1
The webpage keeps on not working.
When i try to ping the server with its ip (192.168.1.119) it says that the destination host is not reachable/found/responding but it also informs that all the sent packages have been received.
Thanks for the support!

Hi,
on your pve-host you have 192.168.0.0/24 instead of 192.168.1.0/24 defined!!

Cange the IP with gateway and also the dns (/etc/resolv.conf) and do an reboot (and check also the cable and switchport).

I will back later (monday).

I have same problem. Just install from proxmox-ve_3.0-0428106c-13.iso
I can connect by ssh, but web interface don`t work.

/var/log/daemon.log
Jul 22 00:45:06 proxmox pveproxy[2639]: problem with client 192.168.1.171; rsa_padding_check_pkcs1_type_1: block type is not 01
Jul 22 00:45:06 proxmox pveproxy[2639]: WARNING: Can't call method "timeout_reset" on an undefined value at /usr/share/perl5/PVE/HTTPServer.pm line 155.

Hmm... It's working in IE and Chrom's Incognito

Hey...
Do you have an hardware similiar to mine? Ex: motherboard etc?
Have a great day!

Hi.
That's not the hardware.
I just clear cashe and cookies in my chrome and it's works!

Check IP adresses - must be in same subnet. I.e. you must ping proxmox server from workstation.
Check you use HTTPS, not http
Clear cookies or try chrome's incognito (ctrl+shift+n)
Good luck.

Hey guyz.I hope some one can help.
I installed ubuntu server 13.04 which does not have any desktop it is just a terminal. Then I install proxmox on that server. Now I get to the point that I have to open a browser based on the instruction and typr the ip as url but I only see a terminal! there is no browser or gui or desktop that I can open. I used this instruction for installing proxox:
http://www.unixmen.com/proxmox-install-step-by-step/

You know there is no window that I can go and type the URL , all I have is a terminal.

Any help?

Um. You need to use a different computer to use a browser...

You don't use the proxmox server desktop so there is no gui installed on it.

Why would you install proxmox on top of Ubuntu?
