I have been working on moving the storage of VM's from an NFS share on my TrueNas core server to a ZFS over iSCSI share on my TrueNas server. I have ZFS over iSCSI all set up and it appears to be operational. I transferred of one of the VM hard drives from the NFS storage to the ZFS storage but I am not able to start the VM. It just hangs at "Booting from hard drive". When I check the syslog I see the following:

I have also attempted to perform a restore from backup using the zfs over iSCSI share as storage. I received the same error. Any thoughts on what is causing the error? I spent some time looking for a resolution and I was not able to find one. Is this a configuration issue or a bug in the software?

As a follow-up, attempted to create a new VM installing Debian using the "ZFS over iSCSI" storage and ran into the following error:

Unable to install GRUB in /dev/sda
Executing 'grub-install /dev/sda' failed.
This is a fetal error

Hopefully, someone can provide some guidance as I am at a loss.
