After Proxmox installation at second server and activation of second subscription, I would like to go with Live Migration option. My cpu configuration is as follows:

Server 1: 2 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2690 v3 @ 2.60GHz
Server 2: 2 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2667 v4 @ 3.20GHz

According to Proxmox documentation, VM must have the same cpu to be used in Live Migration. Obviously I cannot use cpu type 'host', as server1 and server2 have different cpu.

I know that I can use kvm64, but is there any better option for me?

Thanks!

Take the architecture of the older chip (haswell, according to Intel) and go with that. The newer CPU should be fully compatible, and you should still see a good performance boost, especially if you use features that get enabled (like AES or AVX extensions). That being said, definitely test your setup before going into production to see if it works.
