Backup PBS itself ?

Hi,
I am using PBS since the beta release in july. It works pretty good and i'm happy of the result so far.
I would like to know if it's possible to do a backup of the backup server.
I was thinking about installing a second PBS just to backup the first one or to do clones daily and transform them into templates in case i encounter a failure. But i imagine there are some white papers i don't know on how to secure my backup server.
I know it can seem stupid to do a backup of a backup but in my sector it's pretty vital for us to have an higly secure backup infrastructure.

If pbs is virtualized on pve just use the old vzdump to create a backup of it. If its hardware use clonezilla.

Ideally you would have a second offsite pbs and use the sync feature.
