Dear everyone.
I'm newbie. After read many posts about zfs cache, mirror, vm cache. I'm really don't know how to get best value with my hardware
So i want to ask any suggestions for my build with these hardware components

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700
RAM: 64GB Ecc
SSD: 960GB x 3
Nvme: 256GB x 2
HDD: 12TB x 5

I want to build zfs storage server and many vms (plex, home assistant, windows destop, linux develop env ...)
Many thanks for any help

hi,

you have decent amount of RAM so ZFS will be likely good in your setup.

since you have a lot of disks you can arrange them according to your speed requirements too.

you could make a ZFS pool on your SSD drives for your VMs/CTs, and use the NVME for rootfs (can also be ZFS or LVM).

the slower HDDs could be used for storing other things that don't require i/o speed (maybe for storing ISO files, or similar)

make sure to check the documentation [0] to get an overview [1]
