After upgrade 2.0beta to 2.0rc1, have some problems

Hello there,

I've upgraded my proxmox ve 2.0beta to 2.0rc1 last night.
I used the "aptitude update && aptitude full-upgrade" method that Mr. Martin mentioned.

It's work but not immediately after I restarted my server connecting to the web host. My vms and the node were all gone.
I recreated the cluster node but it still didn't work.

This morning I login my webhost discover that its work perfectly but my windows 7 vms not work.
The ubuntu 10.04LTS could work fine.

I've tried to setup another vm for installing a new windows 7 but it's in vain.
It's appear the blue screen when I tried to enter the windows setup.
The problem like the vm's BIOS didn't work fine with the windows 7.

I got the reason after i created two kinds of HDD bus vm.
The VIRTIO and SCSI could enter the installation menu normally but IDE not work.

BTW, I've installed the win7 successfully on the VIRTIO HDD. However, when I modified the CPU form qemu64 to host(my processor is i7), I cannot enter the OS.

Hi, did it work if you choose qemu64 as cpu model ?


they are new cpu model (not available yet through gui),
you can manually edit the conf file, and put "Nehalem" as cpu model.

cpu model definitions are in file : /etc/kvm/target-x86_64.conf
