i'm trying to setup a 2.1 cluster between 2 Dell PowerEdge 860s using a Netgear ReadyNas 2100 unit for storage with a Netgear GS716T switch.

I have all the network ports teamed using ALB but this seems to be slower than using a single NIC with a couple of my KVM VMs - any suggestions?

When i transfer my W2k3 server from node1 (1 NIC) to node2 (2 NIC) the HDD read/write speeds is halved.

W2k3 Node1
11.10 / 11.91
11.10 / 11.93
5.553 / 5.689
5.732 / 5.746

W2k3 Node2
4.886 / 5.658
5.136 / 6.978
4.142 / 4.553
3.126 / 3.296

The w2k3 box was a physical to VM convert using clonezilla and is an iSCSI ide RAW disk.

Also in the same cluster i have a W2k8 box that was built on the cluster and uses an iSCSI ide RAW disk and has much higher read/write speeds than the w2k3 box 57Mbs on 1 NIC / 65MBs on 2 NIC.

any ideas?
