Advantages of UEFI install compared to BIOS/Legacy mode?

Hi,
new Proxmox user here. I've just installed PVE in Legacy mode.
Now before I continue to set up the system I wondered if there are any advantages to a UEFI install? Looking though Documentation/Forums I could not find a conclusive answer.
Having the troubles with UEFI in the back of my head that I've came across over the years I am still skeptical of using it. But since I want to use the new system for quite a while I want to make sure to pick the right way to install.

I appreciate your insights in this matter!

Cheers
tetra

Do you use ZFS for your root? If so, I'd suggest using UEFI.
Otherwise it doesn't really matter.

Hi Mira,
thanks for your quick response!
Since I use a hardware RAID Controller and already read the warning about that and ZFS, I'll stay with ext4 LVM :)
Then I'll keep it in Legacy mode.

Thanks and have a good day.
