hello

i have created a omv (openmediavault) VM with 10g LVM-Disk for the system.

Now i wish to add 1tb Disk for the Data.
so i go to the vm
Add: Hard Disk

so i first question is how to deside about Bus/device (SATA - IDE - SCSI - VirtlO Block)?

And i wish to have a new Disk 1TB but with the LVM feature - so later i will need to resize it.

any help about that

have a nice day

normally you want 'scsi' (with virtio-scsi controller), but the different options are well documented in the reference documentation: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-qm.html#qm_hard_disk

what exactly do you mean 'with lvm feature' ? if you want to use a LVM storage on the host, just select one from the drop down (if you have one; else you have to create one first)
if you want to use lvm inside the guest, there is nothing special you have to do, just create the disk and use the lvm tools inside the guest
