Hi,
currently I'm testing proxmox, and so far I like the concept.
But I'm not sure if I got the cluster setup right, therefore I'll just explain what I want to do and hopefully somebody can tell me if proxmox is the right tool for this
I want to use 3 to 4 servers for virtualization (KVM), these servers should be controlled through one single gui. Users should be able to login, create machines, start & stop them. At best users can only access their one machines (I think I saw User-Accounts for the webgui on the roadmap for 2.0).
And the user should be able to select on which KVM-Server his machines being created, but there should also be an autoselect-feature which would select a kvm server automatically if the user didn't specify one.
So far I've just tested proxmox on one machine, but not clustered with a second one. My main concern is the realisation of the single gui. If I have multiple Nodes in a cluster, which GUI will be used? Will proxmox deactivate the GUI of all slaves and only use the master's gui?
And is it possible to use a machine just as managing server? In this case one dedicated machine would only host the GUI and manage the real kvm-servers.
