Upgrading Proxmox from 6.2 to 6.4 broke GPU Passthrough

Thank you very much for the reply! This solved the part of the problem. The Ubuntu VM now boots up, as well as the Windows VM with the 2080 passed through But the MacOS VM (with the Vega 64) doesn't show any image. I have it with the VGA and a " VMWare compatible graphics adapter" on the...

Upgrading Proxmox from 6.2 to 6.4 broke GPU Passthrough

Sorry for the delay. Yes sir, here it is (Had to attach a file, forum complained post was too long). Also if I could provide any logs, just let me know. I'm not really a Linux guy, so I don't know which logs would be useful, neither where they are.

Upgrading Proxmox from 6.2 to 6.4 broke GPU Passthrough

Hello guys. I had a Proxmox server running fine for about a year with two VMs, one Windows and one MacOS, each with their own GPU (RTX 2080 Super and Vega 64 respectively). For some dumb reason I decided to upgrade my server, and already in the process (after upgrading to 6.4) I started to have...

    Help recovering a crashing server

Ok so I went back to Ubuntu Live, mounted the LVM, edited the /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname to change the node's host name. Rebooted. SSH'ed into it, edited the vm.conf removing the problematic PCI devices, renamed the host name back and voilà. Actually I tried to rename the host along the way...

You, sir, are a genius! Thank you so very much. The boot loader threw me a few errors (something about not being able to boot a USB drive - which was bootable, but anyway), then started loading succesfuly!

    Proxmox node name change

I tried the method described below, but I can't copy the config files. It always says the file already exists, even though ls doesn't show them. Also it turned out to replicate the qemu-server folder inside itself. Still haven't been able to change the name... :(

    Help recovering a crashing server

I forgot to mention, before setting auto boot and decommissioning my previous workstation, I tried several times to pass-through separately the USB controller (crash), and the on board sound card (totally laggy on the other VM, but reversible). Even though they’re in different IOMMU groups, but...

    Help recovering a crashing server

Hello guys, Newbie here. So I built this dual-seat workstation, and the VMs are set to auto start. I passed-through some devices to a VM, and it crashes the whole server. I tried to boot an Ubuntu live and mount the lvm, but there's no /qemu-server folder in /etc, so I can't edit the VM's...
