Still couldn't find a fix...
For now what I did was spam the vmbr with IP's for each of the networks to be used as gateways, then on the VM's I use the specific GW.
I'v re-read your post and I noticed I missed the 'and add 'onlink: true' to the interface config.' but I'm not understand how nor where I need to add this, I tried to add it to the proxmox network device, it removed the device from the VM so I guess it doesn't exist.
I tried to add it to the...
I noticed a new version of pmox was released yesterday, tried to upgrade to it and the issue seems to be present still. Any clues on what could be wrong here?
Hey, so I followed both of these with no success at all :/
here is what I did...
snippets/network_133.yml
Also tried with:
Then:
I restared the VM, I know the settings were applied because I tried with a different IP on the file and I saw it change on the VM, but still the VM is still not...
Uf... okay, you seem to know what your talking about, which is good but can you please put that in simpler words?
I understand that this can be a network config version issue but I didn't quite understand how to get around it.
Thanks
Hello,
I'm having a wierd network issue that I don't seem to find a reason but would greatly appreciate some help here.
I have a 2 node cluster connected with a physical switch, one of the NIC's on each not is just for internal communication.
Host01 interface:
Host02 interface:
My goal...
After a milion hours reading and testing I found out that I needed to add:
bridge_vlan_aware yes
To the vmbr in order for the public ips to work.
Internal ips are still an issue tho, I was not able to create an internal network cross hosts yet.
If anyone knows how I would be thankful...
Hey guys, not sure if that tutorial is still up to date but I found out that following just that setup only works for single host, when doing a cluster I had to tell the vmbr to be vlan aware I'm the public ips.
Now I did not manage to get this to work for private ips, did u guys?
I mean for...
Hello,
I'm trying to accomplish the same thing but even tho my cluster is working I have an issue, when my VM's try to communicate with each other it only works if they are on the same host, VM's on separate hosts can't reach each other :| Have you found a way around this?
if u want more...
Hello,
I have two proxmox servers hosted on hetzner, both in the same cluster and within the same vSwitch.
Using one external IP's for each VM, they can reach the WWW and I can reach them from my home network.
VM's on the same host can reach each other but if I try to ping between two VM's that...
At the host level I have the following:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto enp196s0
iface enp196s0 inet static
address xxx.yyy.zzz.122/26
gateway xxx.yyy.zzz.65
post-up echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
post-up echo 1 >...
I've been trying to accomplish the same and failed measurably for the past couple of months.
I managed to have this working for windows vms (go figure) but linux based systems for some reason are not working :/
did u find a solution?
Hello,
I've installed proxmox on a host which as a main IP of xxx.yyy.zzz.122 and then I have an IP block of aaa.bbb.ccc.32/27.
I have managed to get the windows to work just fine but I'm not being able to configure the ubuntu vm's. Ubuntu has no internet connection.
My host interfaces...
Still haven't found a proper way of setting this up...
I'm trying to avoid as much as I can configuration on the guest but without it and using the "Routed configuration" from the docs it doesn't even have access to the internet.
I see there's an option for buying a "STANDARD" subscription which...
Oh nice tipppp
Okay good thanks!
I got it like this now:
source /etc/network/interfaces.d/*
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto enp196s0
iface enp196s0 inet static
address xxx.yyy.zzz.122
netmask 255.255.255.192
gateway xxx.yyy.zzz.65
post-up echo 1 >...
Hi!
Thanks for the quick answer, I didn't give out all the information by mistake, indeed I've followed or tried to follow the documentation but it didn't exactly work :/
Yes the server is hosted at hetzner facilities which is making it a bit more troublesome, it's in a part of their network...
