Hey guys, I am yet again experiencing a kernel panic, this is what I was able to see on the screen that is directly configured to my NUC, I am not sure if there is another way to get a full log of this event happening:
Output from pveversion -v:
root@pve:~# pveversion -v
proxmox-ve: 6.2-1...
@matrix this might be a stupid question, but do I apply those values on the pve node or on my vm instances?
I updated it on the host, hopefully I was right :D lets see what happens the next 2 weeks.
I am running Proxmox version 6.2-6 on my Intel NUC (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/boards-kits/nuc/kits/nuc8i3beh.html). One of my virtual machines is running home assistant for home automation (https://www.home-assistant.io/). I use a specific usb stick...
@yabbah I also have the conbee 2 stick and had the same thing happen here, did you find a solution? I just updated to 6.2-6, lets see if this changes something.
I am unable to find the setting, I did find this response from an Intel employee:
"There is no such an option in BIOS that explicitly says: C states or P States -disable or enable-. The only options available that could help are performance and power related tools but they won't necessarily...
Thanks for the information, I'll run a VM on my windows machine if I experience such a crash again even after all the updates I did (bios and now th proxmox provided updates via the UI). Did you disable the c6 state when you were having issues as @Dark26 mentioned or did you keep it as it was...
Thank you so much for your detailed response, here are my answers:
(1) Was this a one-off or happening multiple times?
It happened 1 time before
(2) Anything relevant in the Syslog before the freeze?
No not really, I did see a lot of:
Started Proxmox VE replication runner.
So I masked that...
Helly everyone, I am experiencing freezes (2 in the last 2 days) that require me to reboot the Intel NUC (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/boards-kits/nuc/kits/nuc8i3beh.html) manually. I can see under summary of my node that it happened this time at 20:20 in the evening. The...
I wasn't aware those type of ssd's even existed. I also posted on reddit and they said that if I went for a UPS I should get a pure sine wave which are a more expensive.
I was running Proxmox on an Intel NUC for about 2 months until there was a sudden power outage
in my town which lasted for about 4 hours. When I rebooted after the outage it seemed like there were some issues with my SSD and for some reason my USB which was used for daily vm's/containers backups...
I am using an SSD in a NUC so no cables. By checking smart volumes do you mean the following: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Disk_Health_Monitoring. I will probably need to enable it for the disk as I have never enabled it before.
Dear community
I started using Proxmox 2 months ago and I am experiencing something very annoying at the moment.
This morning we had a power outage in my street (+-3 hours). After the outage I couldn't connect to
my proxmox instance so I hooked up a monitor and keyboard, Proxmox started in...
