Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

When I say LVM, I mean LVM2. PS: I think we're going a little OT...

Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

My setup is a dual-node with whole DRBD mirrored disks, connected with dedicated NICs and a crossover cable. I have near-to-no experience with multi-node DRBD, sorry. Same to me, except for kernel panics ;)

Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

My hosts never crashed since then (28 Feb 2016) :)

Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

Since I've had near to no answers about this kernel panic, I've downgraded my DRBD resources to 8.4 and they work flawlessly since 4 days. As a future reference, I've put my downgrade notes down to a blog post here...

Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

An updated kernel has been built by Dietmar (thanks!) with DRBD 9.0.1 and it's available in pvetest repo. Sadly it still crashes with a kernel panic at the same source line... :(

Kernel panic with Proxmox 4.1-13 + DRBD 9.0.0

Update: sadly the kernel panic happens with kernel 4.2.2-1-pve too. The host B, containing the VM with the high IO traffic test, just crashed... I'd like to try DRBD 9.0.1, released 2 weeks ago. Is there any documentation available on how to build my custom modules?

Device mapper doesn't remove the device in a clustered setup

Could you share it here? I'm experiencing the same issue (using DRBD).

How to live-resize guest (non-root) drive?

You're right, I could define a single 100Gb disk on the host and attach it to the guest and manage it with LVM. But I'd like to avoid the double LVM layer, one on the host and another one inside the guest. That's why I defined my share disks in the host, then I attached all of them to the...

How to live-resize guest (non-root) drive?

Hello everyone, I'm setting up a Linux File Server VM with ProxmoxVE. Since Samba doesn't allow to set up quota for a share, my VM config is like the following. Everything is (obviously) over LVM on the host. root disk (will never change it) virtio0: /dev/mapper/vm_rootand one (or more)...
