Creation of veth interface drops MTU

Hi All, Just upgraded to 3.1 and am ironing out the final wrinkle. We have an interface with an MTU of 9000 on our servers. It is the sole interface in a bridge which happily picks up that MTU on boot. It all works fine until an openvz container is started with a veth interface on the bridge...

KVM hot migration thinks NFS image is local

Just to update, upgrade to 3.1 is done. KVM VMs on NFS storage happily migrate now. Thanks!

KVM hot migration thinks NFS image is local

Well, after deleting the /var/lib/vz/images/115 folder, I still wasn't able to do an online migration from servername no newtarget. I tried an offline migration and that was successful. Then an online migration BACK from newtarget to servername succeeded. A subsequent online migration from...

KVM hot migration thinks NFS image is local

Hey Tom, Here's the output of the commands run on the host that currently houses the VM. All that I have changed inthe output is the hostname, vmname, and the VM's IP Address in the output of "qm config 115". Thanks for investigating. servername:~# cat /etc/pve/storage.cfgdir: local path...

KVM hot migration thinks NFS image is local

Hey Christophe, Thanks for the suggestion (and a belated thanks to screenie). There was a cd device (ide2), but nothing was mounted in it. I removed the device, just for good measure, to no avail. Still no joy. Any other ideas, folks? Scott

KVM hot migration thinks NFS image is local

On the "Storage" tab is shows as "Type NFS" and when that is selected, it does show up as an "NFS share". It was mounted via the proxmox interface, not manually and is mounted at /mnt/pve/sharename, so as far as I can tell, Proxmox should know that it's not local.

KVM hot migration thinks NFS image is local

HI folks, We have a 2 node PVE 2.2 cluster (yes, we are looking in to upgrading to 3.1 soon). We have both local storage and NFS storage options available for images. I recently manually moved a KVM from local to NFS so that we would have the benefit of live migration at our disposal. I did...

permissions issue in centos templates /etc/cron.daily

Hey folks, I'm not sure this is the right place though to report this, but it seems the daily cron jobs in http://download.proxmox.com/appliances/system/centos-6-standard_6.3-1_amd64.tar.gz (except logrotate) are set to 644 instead of 755. Easy enough to fix up after an install with a chmod...

Shared storage - different IP Addresses

Hey Folks, We have recently installed a disk array behind two hosts that are in a pvecluster. There are dedicated 10GigE interfaces directly connecting each Proxmox host to the storage array. Since they are dedicated interfaces, the IP address of the storage array is different for the two...

Centos 5.3 OpenVZ container not working after upgrade to Promox 1.9

    * Post removed * My apologies. I had originally posted that I had the same symptoms as the OP but have since found the logs I posted were from a previous boot. I found the cause of my failed start in my /var/log/vzctl.log and it was unrelated to the 1.9 upgrade.

Proxmox Kernel Source or kernel configuration

Hey folks, It looks like the kernel sources there are updated every couple of weeks and only the last two are retained. Are there historic sources available? virt2:~# uname -a Linux virt2 2.6.32-4-pve #1 SMP Mon May 9 12:59:57 CEST 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux Thanks!
