I spent a day using an old NUC computer and installed Proxmox 6, then Proxmox 7, then upgrade the kernel to 6.2 on Proxmox 7, then Proxmox 8. Testing the IO Delay on each. As it turns out, all behave the same, so this was NOT something new in Proxmox 8 as I had thought.
I have encountered this exact same problem on multiple hosts running on hardware from small mini computers to large enterprise level Dell hardware with RAID controllers. I have not been able to pinpoint the exact cause but also do not remember this ever being an issue with previous versions of...
You can go to the "Datacenter" under "Options/Bandwidth Limits" and set the "Backup Restore:" to some value.
This is not a fix for the issue, but will allow you to slow down the backups to the point that they will just take longer and not cause the host to get into a very high IO Delay.

I have a three host Proxmox cluster of identical Protectli VP2420 systems with the...
I am wondering if the "time zone" is being changed or if the "time" is only being set to that of a different time zone. These are two different things. I am having issues where I want my Windows VM to use MT and the host is using UTC. If I set the VM to UTC, all is fine. But when I try and set...
