Use an iso image instead of a physical CD-ROM

Can this be done? I have an image (let's call it windows.iso), and I want my Proxmox VM to boot from this image so I don't have to burn it to a CD. Is this at all possible?

    External VNC viewer?

What about that is configurable for my local settings, assuming I use the user 'root' for Proxmox, 'administrator' for all the VMs, and a single password for them all? Also, what would I type into my terminal server client (the app of the same name in Ubuntu) to access the VMs?

    Proxmox VNC worked fine, now...

Yea, my stupidity. It's a local issue... it just was working, and it suddenly stopped. Oh well, such are the pains of running Java in 64-bit Linux  I also posted a question in the other thread about how to get that working, though, if you can help there.

    Proxmox VNC worked fine, now...

    >.< I always think of afterthoughts after I post, but I can't edit :p If there are other options than that included applet to VNC into a VM (so that I can access it to install an OS), I'll take that for now and worry about this issue later. I'm not really in a position to reinstall from scratch...

    Proxmox VNC worked fine, now...

I get a java.lang.ClassNotFoundError for "VncViewer.class" whenever I try to open the applet in the web page. Everything worked fine literally this morning, but now I get this error. Anyone have any ideas? Google turns up a blank :(

    Access existing hard disk?

Alright, I was just kinda using "SCSI" as a placeholder. The array is not hot-pluggable so I guess the /dev/sda works. Thanks!

    Access existing hard disk?

Just one more thing... I noticed that doing this: scsiX: /dev/sda ... where sda is my RAID array, seems to work as well (or at least it displays the correct size of the array in my web management). Would this way work as well? I wanted to make sure before I went and actually did anything with it!

    Access existing hard disk?

Thanks for the help guys. I just have one question: are there any disadvantages to using SCSI versus IDE for the VMs? Is it any slower/faster or more dangerous?

    Access existing hard disk?

Is there a way to do this manually using the Qemu monitor? Reading their documentations seems to imply that you can.

    Access existing hard disk?

It's a RAID5 array of 4 750GB disks on a Dell PERC 5/i. Though it seems that having only the one local storage is a major issue.

    Access existing hard disk?

Goodness me, I got to the wrong support forum when I didn't think I was in it! Would a moderator please move this post to a more appropriate forum?

    Access existing hard disk?

Hello everyone. I'm new to virtualization and ProxMox in general, so please bear with me. I've got my sever w/ProxMox (the latest one) configured with a single VM which is running Ubuntu Server 8.04 x86_64. Now, I have a RAID array that I use to serve my content, and it's currently half-full...
