I freshly installed the proxmox+ceph today with Ceph Luminous 12.2.8 three times. (I believed it was just released recently.)
Installing proxmox , create and join cluster, pveceph install and pveceph create mon seems all successful.
But whatever I did, I cannot bring the osd up...

You're absolutely right! Without LACP, the only bond mode choice for the cluster is "active-backup"

I'm working on building a new Proxmox cluster with Ceph for production.
Each node I have 4 x 10G NICs. But, unfortunately, the switches are not supported stack. So I've chosen to use Balance-ALB(mode 6) for the bonding. All the 10G ports on the switches have been set only...
Or, just need to change after "pveceph init --network" with ceph public network CIDR, then change "/etc/ceph/ceph.conf" of one of the nodes, change the "cluster network" to a private network CIDR, then pmxcfs will sync this file all across the cluster?
