We're doing some infrastructure upgrades. Our new switches have support for 25 and 100Gbit. Does anyone have any recommendations for 25 nics that work well with Proxmox?
I have two servers in a "cluster". I don’t have any shared storage between them, and I don’t really want to setup replication between them as I’m not using ZFS.
So my question is, how do I move machine qcow images between the hosts? I don’t need to migrate the qcow files while the VMs are...
Hey Everyone,
I posted a feature request almost three years ago via bugzilla.
https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1930
It's still listed as new. So i'm not sure if I posted it incorrectly to bugzilla, or if the team isn't interested in making this feature.. but I still find myself...
We have 4 Proxmox host servers and two different NFS servers for VM storage. We usually we manually distribute the VM storage load between them.
The two NFS storage servers are all flash and have 10 gig connections to our ProxMox hosts.
A few times a year we need to update the firmware on our...
We love Proxmox and this year finally bailed on VMware!
I'm wondering where or how end users can request new features. In the forum? Via email?
Looking forward to many happy years with Proxmox. Thanks!
I'm trying to delete a host from an existing cluster. I read over some threads, specifically this one:
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/deleted-cluster-node-still-shows-up-in-webinterface-pve-4-1.26819/
I ran this:
root@pm1:~# pvecm nodes

Maybe this is a feature request, but if I have all my VMs on shared storage, and one of the hosts goes down, I would think i should be able to "migrate" the downed VMs to a working host.
Obviously, it would be recovering from the last saved state on the shared storage or whatever.
I guess...
I’m wondering about proxmox backups. When the backups are done, does it flush what’s in ram to the backup as well? When I restore from a backup is it like when I restore from a snapshot? Where the machine is already booted etc?
I’ve seen some backup solutions in the past, namely restoring from...
From time to time we need to reboot or work on one of our one of NFS storage nodes. I know we can live storage migrate each VM one at a time. But is there a way to see all the VM disks on one storage node and mass migrate them to other storage instead of doing it one at a time?
You can do this...
