Oh, ok. Thanks again for the explanation. I'm kind of thinking I might just backup all my VM's, CT's & configs & do a fresh install/restore. If I'm going to have downtime at least I don't have to remove drives that way. And downtime isn't a big issue for me. Really appreciate your help. Your...
Ahhh, so autoexpand will only work if there is free space immediately after sda2/sdb2 end of partition boundary I take it? I guess that makes sense given that ZFS isn't concerned about partitions other than the sdx2 partitions. I'll see if I can move sda9 & sdb9 to the end of the disks.
Thank...
I have PVE instance with a mirrored rpool. I recently replaced the 2 x 512 GB SSD members with 1024 GB items. The replacement completed without incident and the pool is reporting a normal status as below:-
root@pve5:/mnt# lsblk /dev/sda
NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
sda 8:0...
Many thanks for responding. Not sure how I missed that in my search. I will read through that post to pursue a solution. Really appreciate you nudging me in the right direction.
I have been running a Windows Server 2016 VM on Proxmox VE for about 3 years without issue. I recently upgraded Proxmox VE from 6.2 to 6.3, and since that time, after each reboot the guest OS detects the NIC as a new device and hence it's statically configured IP addressing information is lost...
Yes, issue resolved thank you. But I'm not sure the nesting feature is required only on unprivileged containers. I have 1 of each and I had to turn on nesting even for the privileged container to resolve the issue.
Here's the output. It certainly shows that /var/log/syslog.1 does not exist, also that /etc/ld.so.preload does not exist. Much beyond that I'm not sure about.
root@pmg6:~# strace -yyttTf pmg-log-tracker -v -s '2020-05-01 00:00:00'
06:06:28.663200 execve("/usr/bin/pmg-log-tracker"...
Thanks again for your response & apologies for the delay in getting back to you. In answer to your questions:-
1)
I installed the PMG container from the PMG template available in PVE.
2)
Yes, rsyslog is installed and shows status as follows:-
root@pmg6:/var/log# service rsyslog status

Thanks for the response. No, I'm not using an add blocker. I can use the same browser to a VM based PMG instance which works (ie: shows all mail messages routed through PMG for the given search criteria), then point the same browser at an LXC container based PMG instance which shows only "No...
I have a number of PMG installations, some of which are VM's & a couple are LXC containers running within PVE.
I have no problem with the Tracking Center in the VM based installations, but on the 2 LXC based PMG instances the Tracking Center returns no results (ever). It simply returns "No data...
For clarity, what I ended up doing was following my original plan. I backed up the PMG config from my 5.2-7 VM, ran up a PMG 6.2 LXC container using the PVE supplied template, then uploaded & restored the config backup to the PMG 6.2 LXC container. That all worked quite seamlessly. Inbound &...
I'm currently running a PMG 5.2-7 VM on a Proxmox VE host. I'm interested in doing away with the VM and running my PMG instance as an LXC container. So my question goes to whether I could simply run up a new container with the template available in PVE and restore a backup from the PMG VM? Is...
Thanks for the response. Just to clarify, when I say auto-mount I'm talking about automatically mounting on USB connection of the drive, not at boot time.
I can mount the drive using either it's UUID or /dev/sdxn designation, but neither of the below entries in /etc/fstab mounts the drive on...
I recently did an inplace upgrade from PVE 5.4 to 6.2. Prior to the upgrade I had external USB drives auto-mounting via an entry in /etc/fstab along these lines:-
/dev/sdc1 /mnt/rdx auto defaults,noatime,auto,nofail 0 2
Since the upgrade the drives no longer auto-mount. In researching this...
I am using a Univention UCS (Samba 4 AD) LDAP. Yes, will give an LDAP explorer a try. I have a pfsense router authenticating ipsec VPN xauth clients via this LDAP ok but the settings aren't email specific in that case.
