    AER: Corrected error received

I have finally found out that Microsoft Windows seems to be the only supported OS in most cases. There must be a Windows-based PC to create BIOS update media or no update at all. Thanks.

    AER: Corrected error received

Setting pcie_aspm=off seems to work for me. As a result of googling around the problem, a BIOS update can solve it. I am not sure how to update Dell Vostro BIOS in Proxmox in specific or Linux in general.

    AER: Corrected error received

My friend currently has a Windows Server 2012 r2 (VM1) and a Windows Multipoint Server 2012 (VM2) run on a Dell Vostro 3670 PC. VM1 acts like a DBMS Server and VM1 acts like a client pool. One problem is that VM1 usually crashed with the same error message time after time: Even without any VM...

Image is not in qcow2 format

I think the worst nightmare has just happened to me. The latest VM backup was since Jul 16th and data + software backup was 24 days ago. I have just tried booting from Windows Server 2016 CD/DVD and the installation wizard did recognize the disk image as a new one. Another VM with SUSE OS on...

Image is not in qcow2 format

After running apt-get dist-upgrade, I stopped all VMs and reboot the node. All VMs started as usual except one whose ID is 998. qm start 998 kvm: -drive file=/mnt/pve/gold/images/998/vm-998-disk-0.qcow2,if=none,id=drive-virtio0,format=qcow2,cache=none,aio=native,detect-zeroes=on: Image is not...

    ClamAV installation is OUTDATED!

As the title says, the ClamAV database failed to update as the latest version, 1.0.0, is not installed. I have tried "apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade" but there was no update available. I could not find any clear document on how to (and should I) fix it. Every help is appreciated!

/boot/ is full of linux images

My PC is running out of space with the /boot/ occupied by tenths of linux imanges exeeding roughly 1GB. Is it safe to remove all of them? What is the recommended way to achieve that? I've found some instructions for ubuntu but they seem not to work on PVE. I think it is much safer and better to...

    Backup freezes eternally

I let the vzdump run during night and found out that it had finished in the morning. It seems that vzdump freezes for hours before executing. The same problem happen among all Proxmox Servers of two different clusters. It used to be very fast!

After some upgrades to pve-manager 5.1.36, the backup function always ends in eternal freeze. I have noticed that: Debian-based packages: apt-get upgrade PVE-based packages: apt-get dist-upgrade Then I decided to cancel apt-get upgrade and replace it by apt-get dist-upgrade. [SOLVED] Problem when upgrading to proxmox-ve 5.0-19

Dear gurus, Yesterday I decided to upgrade pve to the newest version (through pve-no-subscription repository). A problem (WARNING) was popped up as described as followings: Here are the results of pveversion -v: proxmox-ve: 5.0-19 (running kernel: 4.10.15-1-pve) pve-manager: 5.0-30 (running...

    4.4 -> 5 upgrade issues

Are you sure that the line "deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian/pve stretch pve-no-subscription" is correct? I changed jessie to stretch before dist-upgrade. It simply worked. The online problem was that I was asked to add a key, which could be solved in seconds.

    Cluster problem

After a power failure, the two red nodes became online like a charm. Cannot figure how. In fact, the 3 nodes are connected to the two distinct linked switches located in 2 450-metre-far buildings. The 2 reds reside on one building. The two switches are Cisco SG300-20. Thanks!

    Cluster problem

Thanks for your informative information. I have found out that the problem happens when I open the web-based management tool over VPN connection. Cluster problem

I had 3 PCs freshly installed Proxmox 4.4.2 on Friday evening with enterprise repository disabled and pve-no-subscription repository enabled. After upgrading to the newest version, I created a cluster on one PC. Then add the other PCs to that cluster. Everything works fine for about 20 hours...

The followings are information about one of my node. All VMs are stopped and moved to another node with Proxmox 4.3 installed. apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade does not work. I am not sure that adding pve-no-subscription to sources.list may help. pveversion -v proxmox-ve: 4.2-48...
