Hey.
I had a failed snapshot of a VM the other day and I noticed now that while there are now snapshots listed for the VM and `zfs list -t snapshot` returns with no results, there is a `vm-100-state-<snapshot-name>.raw` file on the associated storage. I can't seem to delete it through the web...
I have a couple of unprivileged containers running the Debian 8.0 (Standard) template. These have systemd disabled, afaik, due to an privilege issue. However, the issue is obviously solved with the Debian 9.0 template as systemd there works just fine.
However, trying to upgrade the 8.0...
I'm trying to restore a backed up container and it throws an error if I specify the the restored container to be unprivileged.
Here is the command:
pct restore 115 /mnt/pve/ds01/dump/vzdump-lxc-115-2017_03_07-09_14_18.tar.lzo -ignore-unpack-errors 1 -unprivileged -storage prod
The back up is...
I have a NAS I use for Proxmox backups. However, backing up unprivileged containers to NFS storage fails immediately with a "Cannot open: Permission denied" error.
Whats the solution here? The Wiki mentions bind mounts points, but it's not clear to me how this can be used to allow the...
Thanks for the info. With backup/restore I'd need enough storage space somewhere to store all the backups, which might be a challenge, so I guess the cluster method is the only viable option.
Hi!
I currently have Proxmox running on two hosts. With one being an old gaming PC and the other being a small server I want to replace both of them with a proper rack server (Supermicro 5019S-M).
However, my question is how I can most easily migrate all my VM's and CT's from the two...
Im having issues with VirtiIO-performance on FreeBSD guests as well. I migrated my pfsense gateway from ESXi with vmxnet3 driver to Proxmox and VirtIO. On ESXi iperf showed gigabit performance without issues but on VirtIO I'm getting 500 mbit/s tops if I'm lucky. And CPU usage goes through the...
Sorta figured it out now. Turns out the qemu-guest-agent isnt running on the VM and I had it enabled in the VM options. If I disable qemu-guest-agent in the VM options then shutdown works fine.
Ive recently migrated over to Proxmox from Vmware ESX and Im having some issues. Ive removed open-vm-tools from the VM's and installed the qemu-guest-agent package in my arch linux guests. However, there doesnt seem to be any qemu-guest-agent service available and all qemu-guest-agent...
Hi all.
I finally came around to migrate my first ESXi-host to Proxmox and I'm extremely happy with Proxmox so far. However, I have one significant issue which I really need to sort out before I can be comfortable with Proxmox.
I currently have 5 Archlinux VM's running. acpid is installed and...
