Hello,
I created a second bridge (as you can see in the attached pictures)
with the purpose of using it linking VMs that will be using NAT
to access Internet, but I don't know what to do next.
I am also attaching a screenshot of interfaces file located in the folder /etc/network
of my Proxmox...
I would like to setup a NAT bridge as you can see in the attached picture,
but the documentation here https://cyberpersons.com/2016/07/27/setup-nat-proxmox/
suggests that I need to reboot the host server so I was wondering if it is mandatory.
BTW Is that documentation valid for Proxmox 5.0-30?
I recently enabled SPICE as a Display driver in a Ubuntu 18 guest
as it is mentioned here https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/SPICE
but the SPICE option appear disabled in the PROXMOX Console dropdown menu.
What else I need to do to have it working?
We are currently setting up public IPs to some of the VMs we are creating
but we have been wondering if it could be better to use private ones
taking in count that they will speak to each other for consulting data.
(i.e. vm1: web server, vm2: db server)
In other words: Do using private IPs have...
I am currently using Promxmox 5.2 and have problems with the shutdown command from the Proxmox web interface.
I have the impression that the Windows VM don't receive the command or it does not report back the status to Proxmox itself, so I was wondering what is the recommended way for handling...
Someone asked me today if there is a way to recreate in Proxmox
the security groups feature available in AWS
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/es_es/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/using-network-security.html
Any idea?
Hello,
I was following this tutorial to install Proxmox in my laptop
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Jessie
and got stuck in this screen

so I am looking for someone that can help me to finish this installation
Hello,
I am thinking of installing Proxmox for use in a laptop with Debian and as it has 2 network cards (the ethernet cabled one and the WIFI one), I was wondering which one will be used by Proxmox.
I am trying to install Proxmox on my laptop so I started following this tutorial https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Jessie
and now I am kind of stuck.
I need some help with the LVM thing as you can see on this picture...
I followed the steps of this link for saving the ISO of Proxmox 4.2 on a flashdrive
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_from_USB_Stick
I used dd on a Debian desktop and although the saving process finished without errors when I tried to boot it didn´t work.
I created a Windows 2008 VM over a freshly installed Proxmox 3.3-1 server
and after some minutes of working perfect I got a Server disconnected (code: 1006)
error message and since then I couldn´t connect to the server.
So had to reboot the host server to regain access to the VM, why?
