Which is the correct course of action to take when going back to stable from pve-test?
Is it just to remove the pve-test entries in apt/sources.list then update & upgrade?
I don't know really know what you mean with console interface? cli? cli is not bound to a specific network interface...
Management is done on the ip configured for vmbr0.
For your networking questions you could do like this.
Create a bond0 interface by using the interfaces on your dual port...
Both things you mentioned (3x bond or 2x bond with a new vmbr + 1 standalone nic for vmbr0) is possible to do straight from Proxmox webgui, server just needs a restart after editing unless you edit in manually from cli.
By default Proxmox uses mode=4 (802.3ad).
Creating bonds with NIC's that...
That sounds like a reasonable price. I'm in need for a new controller for my homesetup, could you share the site that you bought it from? Do you plan to upgrade it to 2GB?
Well, Vyatta is more of an alternative to other large enterprise routing providers (Cisco, Juniper etc.). So if you have no need for BGP, OSPF (among many others) and plan to use it more@home then I'd go with ipfire. At least that's what I did ;) Although I would go with pfSense if it supported...
I just ran an apt-get dist-upgrade, rebooted and am able to passthrough USB devices to a KVM host (and start the VM).
root@proxmox:~# pveversion -v

proxmox-ve-2.6.32: 2.0-63

As telesight said your mount option should look like:
UUID=9e04f12c-4447-4e69-b1a7-48160eecafac /boot ext4 discard,noatime,nodiratime 0 1
So try to replace your defaults, relatime, discard options with what telesight said.
I'm curious as I use SSD's along with UPS for my Proxmox setup, which...
Thanks for your reply kind Spirit!
You are correct in that the mtu 9000 is wanted for san storage.
I currently have 2 NIC's in the proxmox server configured as a port channel. I had planned to run both vm's and san traffic over the port-channel(on different vlans), for both redundancy and...
Hello.
I've been trying to get up jumbo frames properly but I'm encountering some weird issues. This is how my interfaces look
# network interface settings
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet manual
iface eth1 inet manual
iface eth2 inet manual
auto bond0
iface bond0 inet manual...
Hello.
I seem to have a weird problem when it comes to NFS.
My storage is on a Nexentastor server and shares are exported with auth_none with full read_write to anonymous.
I want to add the share where I keep .ISO files.
The exported shares are listed in proxmox once I enter the IP for my...
Decided to give this another go and got the port-channel up on the cisco with Etherchannel only.
channel-group 1 mode on
On my earlier Intel NIC's I've been using mode active. Guess this is a feature in the latest Intel igb driver or maybe LACP á la cisco not supported at all.
Has noone tried port-channel on beta?
Right now I'm running each nic for itself and its working nice, but would like to get that port-channel up.
To anyone that got it to work, do you use channel-group mode desirable or mode auto?
Hello.
Decided to try out the 2.0 beta 3 and encountered problems with getting port-channel, bond0 interface up correctly with my cisco 3560g switch.
I couldnt find any "known bugs" for the beta so Im wondering if anyone managed to get port-channel working correctly in beta?
I had port-channel...
