We have a cloud cluster with hotswap nodes. When a node dies (HD is fine), we just slot a new one in (or so we thought). This has never happened until yesterday.
I slot the new node in and the server boots up to login prompt but the server has no connectivity. Is there something i need to do...
Hi there,
What is the best way to prevent your VMs from hijacking IPs of their neigbhors on the same hypervisor? We have 10GBE ports into each hypervisor and its unrealistic to set vlans on physical interfaces. What are my alternatives?
We have a disk image and we did kpartx -av (disk image)
Inside the 2 partitions p1 is the boot partition and p2 is an lvm partition. I can't mount the lvm partition - how do we open this?

We have a VM with 2 disks - 1 each on different storages. After restoring from a backup, because you have to choose the storage, the disks all end up on the same storage. Is there anyway to choose a disk for each drive in the VM?
The reason is becasue for alot of our VMs, the O/S and core...
I have a question
I currently have a pfSense VM setup with 4 NICs (vmbr0 - vmbr1).
The host has
VMBR0 - 87.210.232.xxx
VMBR1 - 10.10.1.xx
VMBR2 - 10.10.2.xx
VMBR3 - 10.10.3.xx
I can bind whatever IP I want with whatever gateway to the private NIC in pfSense but for the public IP, I cannot...
For all the people complaining about the nag screen
1) You can remove this really easily - read the code. If you can't understand it then you have no business trying to sell production services - not that I support this so I won't post how
2) You can change the warning message to your...
I used to be able to rename the proxmox realms through some of the static files (IE change proxmox ve auth to "Clients") but this is no longer possible? are the realms stored elsewhere now?
I have a few things to ask / say. Just saw 3.1 being released and upgraded. Now all my users get this really annoying "no valid subscription notice".
So basically what was free now comes for $4 per CPU ...
I am initially OK with this as I think you guys do work but I'd rather donate $30 than...

Why would you need to do vlans this way? Let's say I have 4 nodes each with 2 nics
Node 1: NIC A and NIC B
Node 2: NIC C and NIC D
Node 3: NIC E and NIC F
Node 4: NIC G and NIC H
On the switch
port 1: public network drop
port 2, 3, 4, 5 have NICs A...
I have a VM ID 100
Disk 1 on SAN is VM-100-Disk-1.
Disk 2 on NFS is VM-100-Disk-1
when you mvoe the name overlaps. Shouldn't that second disk be VM-100-Disk-1 when you move or when it's just sitting there?
