Hi all.
Without waste your time with my Proxmox version and configuration, I have a very little and simple question:
can I condition and program a startup of a kvm' virtual machine by a script, combining two or more events?!
That is, I have a VM Win2k3 srv which I set to start at the boot so...
Hello,
a very short question: how can I add "--verbose" to my GUEST' kernel?
I've already tried by inserting this option in /etc/default/grub file yet I cannot run update-grub because it exit with the following output:
root@VMLAMP01 ~# update-grub
Generating grub.cfg ...
Cannot find list of...
Hello,
I've a CT created on
ubuntu-10.04-turnkey-lamp_11.3-1_i386.tar.gz
template. I mounted some NT shares on this CT by BIND command, how can be visible through running of mount command on Proxmox host:
root@proxmox2:~# mount
//fs1/datipos/ on /var/lib/vz/root/101.mnt/www/pos/content...
I made a breakthrogh.
So, the power failure isn't the cause of starup issues described so far: the power failure has just highlighted it. Instead, the cause it set on automatic upgrade of Turnkey LAMP.
After many researches and a lot of "googling", I came to the conclusion that the cause is...
Hello,
there was a power failure last week-end and, therefore, a brute shutdown of my Proxmox Server. There were (and are) 4 Container in that server: 3 running and 1 not. The first 3 virtual machines are 2 Windows 2003 Servers and 1 is an Ubuntu TurnKey LAMP 11.3. The last one virtual...
OK Raymond: I'm going to do all two request of yours!
1.
The thing "not well documented" which I have pointed is "pmxcfs" service. In fact, there is wrote nowhere how to set DEAMON_OPTS variable inside /etc/default/cluster file, and the command "# man pmxcfs" doesn't give any answer. Pmxcfs is...
Issue Solved!
...and I'm going to explain you how I did it.
First of all, I have to admit that the cause has been on one my own error: in fact, after third step of those listed above, I erroneously modified the cluster.conf file from
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<cluster name="ProxMCls"...
Thank you for your reply.
Reading your answer, MMenaz, I saw I have to add other infos; before all, writing something more about what I did.
So, my goal was (and is) to make up a 2-nodes cluster starting from an under-performance machine. Therefore, following four steps I thought to be needed...
Hello,
what is actvity permitted in a 2-nodes cluster enviroment when one node is down? In detail, can I create a new VM on the node which is up?
I'm asking that because I tried it with no-success result. Proxmox said me: cluster hasn't quorum!
Thank's in advance.
Good: very good! I undestood the point where you'd have come, and I've already change my hosts files with mutual node entry. So, cluster is up and all (respect its) go on fine.
Anyway, I've to overcome the issue on VM now. Have you any idea?
I migrated VM from one node to another, and now it's...
Good, and this step is also gone over.
Now, I still get nodes of cluster which are viewing off-line each other. Follow syslog of both nodes:
PROXMOX
May 16 16:30:37 proxmox kernel: hub 7-0:1.0: USB hub found
May 16 16:30:39 proxmox ntpd[1215]: Listen normally on 7 vmbr0...
Good, I done it. And this is my "/etc/pve/cluster.conf.new" now:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<cluster name="ProxMCls" config_version="3">
<cman keyfile="/var/lib/pve-cluster/corosync.authkey" transport="udpu" />
<cman expected_votes="1" two_node="1" />
<clusternodes>
<clusternode...
Here I'm, again.
Dietmar, Tom: I done what u suggested me, yet I cannot come out. I come to be frustrated a little bit. Anyway: follow my cluster state at moment.
I reverted my /etc/cluster/cluster.conf, but it came to be replaced by /etc/pve/cluster.conf because both of them had the same...
Yet I cannot write in /etc/pve directory:
root@proxmox2:/etc/pve# cp cluster.conf cluster.conf.new
cp: cannot create regular file `cluster.conf.new': Device or resource busy
What can I do?
Regards.
