You don't need to. Extension should be already assigned. Just select SPICE as your Display in Hardware. Then doubleclick or select Console->Spice from menu and you'll get file download notification. Download it, click on file. That's it.
Closing and solving,
Resolution:
nano /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
<local IP> <servername>.<domain> <fqdn>
reboot
did the trick.
Worth noticing: systemctl restart networking was not able to fix it, so reboot was in order.
But hey - it's so fun to write on this forum! :D
Abot the no quorum?
:~# pvecm status
ipcc_send_rec[1] failed: Connection refused
ipcc_send_rec[2] failed: Connection refused
ipcc_send_rec[3] failed: Connection refused
Unable to load access control list: Connection refused
Also - server is just one server, there should be no quorum.
EDIT...
Hi everyone,
After applying latest updates all of my containers, VM's and proxmox web instance are down.
I've already done some research on Forums on what could help, but no luck there. Here are some logs and findings.
I'm able to ssh to machine. I'm also getting ILO connection.
:~# lxc-ls -f...
Hey! I've just realised that mobile browser version is working on pve8. Finally. It's pointless to have for me, but I'm glad that ability to sign on started working after upgrade. :D
Thank you for your reply @Maximiliano. To be honest - I think that it would be a good idea just to add this possibility out of the box for maybe version 8.5? ;)
From my notebook ;)
To set up NFS in a container:
Before creating the container:
1- on the first "Create CT" screen check "Advanced" next to Back button, then:
2- make sure to UNCHECK "Unprivileged container" option in the first screen also. You can NOT change this later.
3- don't start the...
Please correct me if I'm wrong (or missing something from ver.8) - but you are not able to create NFS directly from Proxmox? You can only do it by running OMV/True Nas/whatever on top of Proxmox and then create NFS share that you can mount.
I'm sorry - I must have brain freeze that I haven't seen it. :D
Example output for curious:
root@pandora:~# hdparm -Y /dev/sdh
/dev/sdh:
issuing sleep command
root@pandora:~# smartctl -i -n standby /dev/sdh
smartctl 7.2 2020-12-30 r5155 [x86_64-linux-5.15.107-2-pve] (local build)

Thank you for response. I've got two additional questions.
1. OK, so how would I be sure, that disks are actually off? How can I verify that not being physically by the server?
2. How would those turn back on again? Those disks would just get back online again right after I'll try to do...
Hi,
I'm not able to physically remove those hard disks so I wonder is there a way to remotely shut them down/spin them down till I'll need to use them again in few weeks/months?
I'm already using pass-through in OMV VM that spins down one disk using APM (disk is used by Plex media server)...
I've had a similar problem, but while trying to unmount I got:
~# umount /mnt/pve/test
umount: /mnt/pve/test: target is busy.
To solve this one I just added -l, like so:
# umount -l /mnt/pve/test
# umount /mnt/pve/test
umount: /mnt/pve/test: not mounted.
