Had a look around here but still not sure of the answer - keep getting stuck :-(
Using Prox 6.
I have a 'real' server with an online provider which has an 'external' interface plus an 'internal' one so I can theoretically connect to another server I have in their space.
I can happily set the...
I needed to resize the disk in a VM.
I went to resize and mistakenly entered the required size, and not the increase in size. Doh.... it's way to easy to do that.... :-(
The original was about 450gb and I added 750Gb by mistake - I actually wanted it to be 750Gb but the OS now can see 1342Gb ...
I just test installed Proxmox v4.2 and the partition/drive layout is not really what I wanted.
I have a pair of drives in RAID 1 that I wanted the basic OS to go on with another 6 in RAID 6 which I wanted to put the VMs and ISO etc on (I have no 'speed' requirements and this layout will be...
Having put a 2 node cluster together as an experiment I was trying to figure out if there is a 'graceful' way to revert to a single machine setup ?
I guess I could set
pvecm expected 1
And then remove the other node, but I don't think that puts me back to 'single machine' status.
I was messing about earlier today and managed to delete a config file for a KVM.
I have managed to manually recreate it and can run the machine. The one thing I wasn't sure about is the disk size that I originally used.
I know it was around 100Gb but it could been more or less than that.
I just wondered if someone could give me some general networking advice.
Currently have 3.1 installed on a HP server with 2 network cards. On this machine I intend to run 2 VMs.
I would like the 'main' VM to have exclusive use of one network card (e.g. vmbr1/eth1) and leave the other...
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for disk configuration for me ?
I have 2 x 250Gb and 2 x 1TB drives each configured as RAID 1 mirrors on a hardware RAID card so effectively 1 x 250Gb & 1 x 1Tb
I had thought about installing Proxmox itself on the 250Gb (with a little room for...
I want to install a server on a KVM but need to recover data from a backup drive which somehow needs to be mountable by the new OS.
The drive is one part of the original RAID 1 mirror from the original server. I can mount it OK locally with mdadm and vgchange.
Any suggestions ?
