    Proxmox 4.4 virtio_scsi regression.

No need to, got pretty thick skin, over 30 years of internet does it to you ;) But maybe lets take this thread behind the shed and say "good dog" while we reach for the gun ?

    Proxmox 4.4 virtio_scsi regression.

I've never stated I used MDRAID within guest or host. So maybe this is completely unrelated discussion becuase for me a RAW passthrough disk was having issues (later to be even reproducible with ordinary "dd if= of=" within the guest). I don't know all the annals of the discussion surrounding...

    Proxmox 4.4 virtio_scsi regression.

OK. Alto this is a very old thread, I think I need to point out that quite few people are quite literally red herring here by trying to talk about different filesystems and other stuff. This issue was completely independent of FS used inside of gues VM. On a very first page, I think post 8...

Advice for best performing FS for micro vm's on top of CEPH RDB.

Hi, It's a simple question, if setting up an ubuntu 24.04 server or latest debian - which filesystem is the best to be used for a light weight (memory and cpu), resizable, fault tolerant fs to be used specifically on top of ceph ?! etx4 has it's issues, btrfs did implode on me during vm...

FYI do you know it was 2017 thread ?

    [TUTORIAL] Re-enroll UEFI keys.

Thanks for the advice on tutorial bit. About the UEFI, well it's an interesting question. I don't get any more maintenance. I only run my own test clusters, and converted two "entities" to using proxmox, so their admin does the heavy lifting - but from my experience, there is no extra work...

    [TUTORIAL] Re-enroll UEFI keys.

It's a bit ironic today I had exactly the same model machines fail in exactly the same way and I had to move all the disks to the spare chassis and use my own guide.

PVE8 "NETDEV WATCHDOG: enp1s0 (r8169): transmit queue 0 timed out" fix (to some extent)

Kernel upgrade; TLDR: Well, I've noticed that DKMS was failing to compile against the newer version of kernel (problem with linking due to missing functions). Before it I had to hand hold kernel upgrades my self, later some machines simply got stuck on older kernel. And when I was digging...

PVE8 "NETDEV WATCHDOG: enp1s0 (r8169): transmit queue 0 timed out" fix (to some extent)

Thanks for the heads up mate ! My story now is that after many failures of DKMS module with new"er" kernels, I had a quick word with my self: "What the hell are you doing ?!", and I followed with a simple math of: my_hourly_rate * hours_I've_been_messing_with_this_realtek >...

[SOLVED] Moving to an SDN with VLAN configuration

Turns out that some switches that are able to pass it have this option turned OFF by default. But thanks for the hint.

    [TUTORIAL] Re-enroll UEFI keys.

Ok, so I've managed to get this working with AMPLE of searches. For prosperity: 1. boot up the machine in unsecured mode. 2. let the cluster stabilise - specially if you have ceph on that node 3. check your boot UEFI entries and efibootmgr -v 4. if you don't have a proxmox entry, then well, you...

    [TUTORIAL] Re-enroll UEFI keys.

Hi, one of machines decided go kick it's mortal coil. Machine got replaced, but old disks have been moved to the new machine. Now, UEFI is stating that it can't boot it becuase it doesn't have a right signature. Is there any how-to etc on how to install debian / shim keys into the bios, so...

Proxmox & OPNsense - 10% of the performance vs. Bare Metal, what did I do wrong?

That's great, BUT, I would like to either: 1. see the original poster comeback and state whenever they achived the original speed 2. see some rudimentary test results of BSD in VM using VIRTIO for both interfaces, under normal routing load.

Proxmox & OPNsense - 10% of the performance vs. Bare Metal, what did I do wrong?

wait, he was running those of the bridges, does it mean that he's got a line throughput on vmbr ?

Proxmox & OPNsense - 10% of the performance vs. Bare Metal, what did I do wrong?

any progress on that ? I was considering doing a failover dual router on proxmox and I'm trying to figure out whenever those machines will need extra nics (not needing those would be beneficial !)

PVE8 "NETDEV WATCHDOG: enp1s0 (r8169): transmit queue 0 timed out" fix (to some extent)

FYI, I'm not encouraging to unsubscribe from enterprise repo (just in case admins will misconstrue it). All the machines that I've had contact with with enterprise subscription have intel cards, and only small test (fun) clusters have realtek cards - hence I can't at this point confirm relevance...

are CT cores pinned during runtime or can switch between E and P cores ?

Actually, I've started an issue on LXC github to see what they've got. @wbumiller you might be interested in the reply that I've got there: https://github.com/lxc/lxcfs/issues/616#issuecomment-1759878400 in essence: Edit: which I think could be implemented relatively easily, while still...

PVE8 "NETDEV WATCHDOG: enp1s0 (r8169): transmit queue 0 timed out" fix (to some extent)

No probs. I myself always skip "medium" articles in search results as it has a lot of buzz words trying to rank it higher in results and rarely has solution to real OS problems ... then I've seen it somewhere somebody pointing to it, and I realised I'm an idiot ... again :D
