Unable to set up new custom certificate on 7.2 standalone node

Hello all, I'm having issues provisioning our new pve with our own certificates; Upon installing them via the web interface, the pveproxy service fails with this error : pveproxy-ssl.pem: failed to use local certificate chain (cert_file or cert) at /usr/share/perl5/PVE/APIServer/AnyEvent.pm...

    Proxmox host dies randomly

Thanks, all, for your inputs. Firstly, I've had two crashes in just 2 days with cstates disabled. It might be a coincidence. I'm already running 5.19, sadly didn't do anything. While 60°C for a drive might not be optimal, I do think that it wouldn't cause a crash, especially as it isn't the...

    Proxmox host dies randomly

Updating this : I've tried installing kdump, but I'm not seeing any dumps after a crash. Plugging a screen to it just results in a black screen. C states have been disabled. Tempted to try a debian live on a USB drive, still any assistance would be appreciated.

    Proxmox host dies randomly

Hello all, A few weeks ago, I've finished the second version of the home lab, mainly out of power efficiency concern. I now have 2 nodes in a cluster. One is a Gigabyte BRIX nuc like, and the other one is custom-built. That last one is giving me trouble. The symptoms are as follows : — The...

Non-optimal routing speeds with Proxmox 7

Alright, I've tried vyOS bare metal on a similar chassis, and I'm getting wonderful routing speeds (10G at random packet size). Issue is, when virtualizing vyOS, I'm hitting the same performance issues again, even with the whole pci card given to the vm via pci passthrough. I'm seeing very high...

Non-optimal routing speeds with Proxmox 7

Bonsoir, Thanks for your answer. I've tried multiqueue and virtio, but I'm not getting much more. I've tried passing the broadcom card via pci passthrough directly to the CHR, and its been working somewhat better, but I'm still getting some frame loss & poor routing performance with random...

Non-optimal routing speeds with Proxmox 7

Hey all, I'm in the process of setting up a Mikrotik CHR (Virtual Router) for routing 10Gb network traffic. However, testing with EXFOs has shown that, with random packet size, I am not getting anywhere near 10Gb/s (I'm getting around 6Gb/s average, should be closer to 8Gb/s). I've tried...

    Proxmox Backup Server 2.2 available

Hello all, I've tried upgrading a R320 to PBS 2.2, but it wouldn't boot on kernel 5.15. Switched back to 5.13, and it is now working as intended. The errors were showing up as DMAR errors, but as I don't have logs, I cannot give you precise feedback right now, but I can reproduce if it can...

Backup to PBS failed - qmp command 'query-pbs-bitmap-info' failed - got timeout

I'm still seeing this error. This crashes the VM and sometimes even corrupts the VM FS. Do we have any information from the Proxmox Team regarding this bug? To complete this message, the error seems to always happen on the same few VMs. Its either a Windows VM, a debian 9.5 or a older custom...

PVE Crash since update to 7.1

Hey, on my end, the problem went away, here's what I did (not sure what solved it though) : The minecraft server CT was moved to another drive AND Since it was swapping out, I added ram and removed all swap for that CT. As I said in my original post, pve mostly crashed when minecraft...

PVE7 / PBS2 - Backup Timeout (qmp command 'cont' failed - got timeout)

I'm also seeing the "query-pbs-bitmap-info" issue now. We're not running ZFS so that can't be our issue. The PVE Is running on 5.11.22-3-pve

PVE Crash since update to 7.1

I'm seeing no smart error on the disks. There appears to be a pattern between a minecraft server running & the server crashing. I've had servers running before with no issues. I'm seeing a pattern here. This is the CT with the minecraft server.

PVE Crash since update to 7.1

Switching the kernel didn't change. This time, though, no trace of the stacktrace. But I've instead found this : Could this be related to a failing disk?

PVE Crash since update to 7.1

PVE crashed again with a very similar error message in the syslog again. [27309.327754] INFO: task jbd2/dm-1-8:577 blocked for more than 120 seconds. Seems to be the first error. As far as I know, the host then goes into a weird state, where writing operations to the disks won't work...

PVE Crash since update to 7.1

Good day all, I've found that my PVE has crashed tonight. I've lost all monitoring at 0150, and the host has been in limbo since. Not only that, but I had run apt upgrade yesterday, so this might be related. SSH isn't working, nor is the GUI. I can log in to the console, but I cannot get a...
